PBA, a legal firm specialized in immigration law and sports law, is on the lookout for an dynamic and motivated paralegal to join our team!

About us: Our young and vibrant team, comprised of five (5) lawyers, supports numerous companies through the temporary or permanent immigration processes for their employees across various sectors.

Responsibilities/what we are looking for​: As a Business Immigration Paralegal at PBA, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting lawyers in the technical preparation of immigration-related files (filling out forms, organizing and reviewing documents, etc.);
• Conducting in-depth legal research to support ongoing cases;
• Preparing and drafting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence;
• Coordinating communications with clients and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on cases;
• Attending meetings with lawyers to discuss legal strategies;
• Managing deadlines and case schedules to ensure efficient follow-ups;
• Keeping abreast of relevant legal developments in immigration and sports law and attending pertinent conferences;
• Staying informed and updated on new changes in immigration legislation;
• Acting as a liaison for the client with various governmental authorities and/or administrative bodies (e.g., immigration services, embassies, Service Canada, etc.).

Requirements

• College diploma (DEC);
• Two (2) years of relevant experience as a Business Immigration Paralegal;
• Skills in legal research and business writing;
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with meticulous attention to detail;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English;
• Proficiency in computer tools and legal software/resources.
