Responsibilities/what we are looking for: As a Business Immigration Paralegal at PBA, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting lawyers in the technical preparation of immigration-related files (filling out forms, organizing and reviewing documents, etc.);
- Conducting in-depth legal research to support ongoing cases;
- Preparing and drafting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence;
- Coordinating communications with clients and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on cases;
- Attending meetings with lawyers to discuss legal strategies;
- Managing deadlines and case schedules to ensure efficient follow-ups;
- Keeping abreast of relevant legal developments in immigration and sports law and attending pertinent conferences;
- Staying informed and updated on new changes in immigration legislation;
- Acting as a liaison for the client with various governmental authorities and/or administrative bodies (e.g., immigration services, embassies, Service Canada, etc.).
